Kate Peterson is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. She works with clients facing a variety of concerns, including family conflict, life transitions, infidelity, premarital counseling, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.

Kate takes a systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that each person is shaped by their relationships, experiences, and environment. She thoughtfully tailors her work to each client, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and intergenerational family systems perspectives. Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves and one another while building healthier patterns of communication, connection, and resilience.

Before becoming a therapist, Kate worked as a pastoral care counselor in hospitals in Minneapolis and Denver, where she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of compassion, presence, and emotional support during life's most challenging moments. She earned her Master of Theological Studies from Boston University School of Theology in 2016 and her Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 2022. For clients who desire it, Kate is also able to incorporate spiritual and faith-based perspectives into the therapeutic process.

Known for her empathetic and thoughtful approach, Kate strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. Whether she is working with a couple seeking to rebuild trust, a family navigating change, or an individual working toward personal growth, Kate is honored to walk alongside her clients as they move toward healing, deeper connection, and greater well-being.
